I see that Perfect Circuit shows Hypno as Discontinued, and it appears to have been pulled from the website store here?
I saw a little bit of very interesting footage of a Hypno2 device from either NAMM or Superbooth, but never saw any official confirmation of features or specs let alone a release date.
Can anyone speak to the overall state of the ecosystem and roadmap? Is the current Hypno firmware the last we should expect? Is there a timeline for having more information on a second version?

Hey there! Welcome. Sleepy sure isn’t snoozing, I’ll say. They’ve just discontinued Hypno 1, and are offering a very nice sale on all remaining inventory in the webshop.

Damn. Will the business continue? I hope everyone involved is successful (somehow, somewhere).
sure will! there’s a video from Sleepy Ron himself in the second slide hinting at something very new, you’ll all surely be excited about!

the video that is out there shows something that looks suspiciously like a small video sampler with onboard effects, which is a thing that could boot the iPad out of my setup. So I am intrigued, and Sleepy has a demonstrated history of delivering hardware, I just want more info!
Hypno v1 is an awesome device I would have used a lot more if I didn’t have a kind of excessive racked setup.
I got some questions about the Hypno 1 sunsetting.

Does this also mean there are no further updates to the Hypno 1? Is 2.4.4 going to be the end of it?
There’s a lot about 2.4.4 I know could be improved upon. I’d love to see some bug fixes, as well as more CC implemented for parameters that don’t have CC yet [Resolution scaling for example], and as for bugs, the Y crop axis now jumps erratically while changed, where in 2.3 it was very smooth. Shame, because it was one of my main parameters for sound reactivity, however now in this state, it’s been unusable for live performances.

Is there any plans to Open Source the hypno 1 firmware? I would love to see what the community could do with the unit, and would be a shame to see that the hypno 1 doesn’t get any opportunity to expand further. That said, I wouldn’t doubt if the Hypno 2 still carries some of the code of hypno 1, so I understand if this isn’t on the table [but I would love it to be]

Will there be continued support for Hypno 1 from Sleepy Circuits for technical difficulties? I assume that you guys will be honing all your resources to hypno 2 and VidOS.
Any update on these matters would be fantastic. I’m on the fence about Hypno 2, just as I’ve found myself reaching my limit with hypno 1 and expanded my workflow and software in a way that I’m unsure of what I would get out of Hypno 2.
That all said, I love the Hypno 1, a lot. It got me into the visual arts game and my lord, has it lead me down a fantastic path I enjoy greatly. Huge thanks to your team for all the hard work over the years!
