Autumn is fast approaching and bountiful grains will soon be harvested from golden fields. In honor of the changing season, our first Video Challenge is called Grain. Send us your grainiest video art. It can be made on the Hypno or with any hardware or software you have at your disposal. Our judges will pick a winner that best meets the spirit of the challenge. The winner will be deemed Harvest Highness and will receive a Sleepy Circuits tee-shirt.
Submissions are now closed and a winner will be announced tomorrow morning. In the meantime, review some of the awesome grainy videos that were sent to us over on our Instagram.
With Halloween around the corner, our second Video Challenge is called Spooky. Post your spookiest video art on instagram with the hashtag #SpookySleepy and @SleepyCircuits. As always, your video can be made on the Hypno or with any other hardware or software you have. Our judges will vote for a winner that best meets the spirit of the challenge. The winner will receive a Sleepy Circuits tee-shirt.
Very cool Simon! If you have an Instagram account, can you please post this video according to the guidelines above? It just helps to have all the submissions in one place.
Hmm this brings up a good point actually, Perhaps we should have a submission option for non instagram people?
Im guessing a lot of people still would prefer to share that way anyway since its what they are used to but i’m definitely 100% for encouraging keeping fb services out of the loop if people prefer this.
Yeah, I don’t mind people submitting here if they prefer, as long as they are okay with us sharing their awesome videos on Instagram. Unfortunately Instagram is a necessary evil but I am all for finding ways of avoiding it!
With the New Year comes new Resolutions. What’s your Resolution? Show us in the resolution video challenge. Post a piece of video art on Instagram with the #Resolve2Sleep and @SleepyCircuits. Our judges will vote for a winner to receive a Sleepy Circuits tee-shirt.

For this challenge, we want to see you use the Hypno in creative ways – project Hypno visuals on trees, use the Hypno in a school assignment, perform a piece of music with Hypno preset’s synchronized to each keypress – think outside the box. You can use additional gear in your submission, but the Hypno should be the centerpiece of your visual setup. To enter, post your submission on Instagram with #creativehypno and @sleepycircuits. Our judges will pick the submission that is the most creative, unexpected and unique. The winner will receive a Syntonie CBV001!
We deeply understand and respect you decision to not use Instagram. Feel free to submit in this thread as an alternative. Same goes for anyone else that is Instagram adverse.
