Hypno 2 Bug - Files Don't Export

Hello! First bug report, maybe? I’ve noticed a couple of quirky things, but nothing really replicable except for the fact that I can’t seem to copy files to a usb key or hard drive; nothing actually happens after I select the files in the recording folder, navigate to the usb key and confirm that I want to copy to that location. When I try to do it in desktop mode I get an error that says the recordings are in a read only folder. Not sure if that’s a clue or what, but that’s where I’m at.

Also, this product is mindblowing. Congrats.

Yo, I’m not staff or anything but tried to replicate yr bug for funsies.

I got the same error too when trying to move a file straight into the drive. I tried encoding the movie first then moving, and that was successful. Maybe that’s the fix?

Hey I tried this after the recent firmware update and it worked with one USB key, but not another one (obviously the one I actually wanted to use). Not sure what’s up. I’ve gotta try a few more things.

Confirmed encoding appears to break paths, I’m on it

Though your problem may be elsewhere if the piOS browser isn’t working (permissions etc)

(additionally browser is sluggish after encoding/decoding which i’m also looking to fix)

I’ll try the piOS route on the latest firmware and report back.

Different USB keys, different results. How would you recommend they be formatted?

Fat32 or ExFat would be the most compatible

Also I pushed an update last night that should address these issues so check that out also.

I can move jpeg files to the Hypno2 from a usb stick. But I can’t load them, only move or delete. What folder should I be putting them in? Is it a problem with the jpeg files themselves? This also happens w .mov files.

Apologies, the video files must be .mp4. My mistake. But I’m curious about the jpegs. The manual says what file formats are supported. But what about size, dimensions, etc.?

hey click the left encoder i just found this it is a bug (those conditionals are getting long ),
will fix asap, the jpegs should all mostly work fine up to 4k like the test files

Coming back to this, I seem to be able to get files over to my usb on the latest firmware update, though it’s a bit clunky. But it works!
